Two emotional events at Holy Trinity!
This blog has been quiet for a few months for reasons I may explain in coming posts, but let's get going again with a couple of big events at Holy Trinity over the last 2 weekends:
1. Farewell, Aneal, Sabrina, Isabelle-Rose and Jacob!
Last weekend our Curate, Aneal, led his last service at HT - Aneal has been appointed as Associate Minister at Christ Church Surbiton Hill, and we wish him and the family God's richest blessings as they move into a new area and new church family.
There was opportunity to present each of them with a present, a card containing a cheque plus a photo-collage from their time at Holy Trinity.
Aneal has been an energetic and faithful minister of the gospel, and a 'phenomenal' (to borrow one of his favourite words!) colleague!
He leaves behind a strong Men's Ministry, a reshaped and well-equipped ministry in Timperley Gardens, and many people who can speak of how their faith has grown or come alive through his preaching and pastoral ministry. He has been generous in his giving of time, resources and energy to the work here, and has done so at a time when family life has been busy.
'Thank you' to Sabrina, Isabelle-Rose and Jacob for the joy that it has been to have you among us - we shall miss you! ðŸ˜
2. Congratulations to Tim and Esther!
A great joy and privilege today to be able to conduct the wedding of a Holy Trinity couple - Tim Menary and Esther Nicoll.
It was good to welcome the two families to Holy Trinity as well:
Esther's mum and dad - Larry and Heather - belong to Christ Church Banstead, where Esther and Hannah (Chief Bridesmaid!) grew up and came to faith.
Tim grew up at HT with his parents, Andy and Angie, and sister Jo - the family moved away from Redhill some time ago, so it was a joy to welcome them back to Holy Trinity for this special occasion.
Congratulations to Tim and Esther - may God bless you with an ever deeper love for one another and for Him.
Post-service celebrations in the church garden! A photographic faux pas on my part - I have chopped off a couple of people on the right hand side, namely Thomas Blumire and (gulp) Libby...my wife...Sorry to you both! I could try blaming mitigating circumstances, in that I was almost falling out of the window at the time. This may also explain the laughter.
